Rachel Wykeham is an artist, designer and creative facilitator based in the NSW Southern Highlands.

With a background in graphic and web design, arts marketing, gallery management and event coordination, her career has been shaped by a longstanding commitment to creativity, communication and connection.

Her contemporary art practice centres on mixed media and collage, combining layers of marks and mediums to explore themes of storytelling, memory, place and personal experience. She has exhibited locally and interstate since 2007 and continues to develop a multidisciplinary practice informed by both intuitive and process-driven approaches.

In 2017, Rachel published The Artful Mum, a book exploring motherhood and creativity through a series of interviews with artist mothers from across Australia.

Alongside her studio practice, Rachel facilitates workshops for adults throughout Australia and New Zealand, as well as school holiday programs and art classes for young people in the Southern Highlands. Passionate about fostering creative communities, her teaching encourages curiosity, experimentation and creative confidence while supporting participants to develop their own unique visual language.

Rachel is also the creator and host of Casting the Inner Critic, a podcast exploring creativity, self-doubt and the realities of sustaining a creative practice.
