Afterschool Artists at Ngunungulla

These engaging and dynamic classes will focus on a range of art making techniques in painting, sculpture and drawing.

Classes run weekly between Thursday 24 July - Thursday 18 September (9 sessions) for children 5-12 years of age from 4pm-5pm.

Term 3 is fully booked but sign up to Ngununggula’s mailing list or contact me to be the first to know about term 4.

  • My girls and I had the pleasure of working with Rachel this year in private lessons. I can not overstate what a wonderful learning experience we have had. Rachel brought joy and enthusiasm to our weekly sessions, coming up with novel ideas to engage two very different young ladies (and their mumma too!). Rachel was flexible with each session and the outcomes were always fantastic. Whilst the outcomes of our art making were always a delight,what was surprising was the varied ways the process of coming to art lessons impacted our life outside of class. Rachel's classes helped instill a patience and persistence in my children, a mindset of exploration and a willingness to start- however "scary" the concept may feel at the time. Most importantly, Rachel supported and encouraged the children and I to be at peace with whatever the art lesson brought up/created- there are no mistakes in art!! Rachel provided a safe and nurturing space to explore different techniques and art making processes and was able to adjust each lesson on the fly to suit the dynamics of the day. I can not recommend taking a class with Rachel Moodie enough- Rachel has opened a whole new world of art making to my family, and at the same time managed to teach both my children and myself how to be more at peace with the world around us.

  • Rachel's classes are the absolute highlight of our week! My daughter is a shy, sensitive girl and was hesitant to start this class- but she was completely hooked after the first one! The environment Rachel creates is like a warm hug, it's basically therapy for my daughter. She gets to do what she loves in a flexible, non-judgmental way and her art skills have come a long way. We can't praise Rachel enough!
